Cow House Studios Artist in Residence
General Information
Cow House Studios award three, 10 week residencies residencies annually. One residency in collaboration with the Wexford Arts Centre, where an international artist exhibits following their residency, and two residencies open to both national and international artists. These residencies offer a valuable support structure for emerging and mid career artists, and brings critically engaging contemporary work to our rural community.Cow House Studios provide shared accommodation, and twenty four hour access to the studio and facilities. The 2400 square-foot open plan space contains a wood shop, darkroom and computer lab. Individual spaces measure 18 square meters, each with abundant natural light. Wexford Arts Centre host an exhibition for one international artist, and support expenses for shipping of artwork and marketing of the exhibition.
Successful applicants are responsible for travel, material and living expenses.

Applications are open to visual artists working in any medium. Two residencies are open to both national and international artists. Only international artists (living outside of Ireland) are eligible for the residency and exhibition in collaboration with Wexford Arts Centre.Required Information

4-List of images. Include title, year, medium & dimensions.
5-Maximum 20 still images: Photographs, laser prints or CD (When sending a CD images must be j-peg, tiff or pdf files, no larger than 1600 x 1200 pixels).
6-Up to 10 minutes of DVD (Can also be in QuickTime or windows media player format.)
7-A self addressed stamped envelope with sufficient postage to return your work. Please note international applications cannot be returned unless a money order/ bank giro covering the cost of postage is included.
Decisions
A selection panel will review the submissions and make its decision solely on the information provided. The panel members include gallery staff, practicing artists and other arts professionals. Applicants will be notified of the results in writing. Panel decisions are final and cannot be negotiated.Enquiries
